Minutes were approved. Articles of incorporation are filed. Waynet has now been incorporated. Jane Holman has been hired as Waynet’s Executive Director. She has been given the tax paperwork to be filled out for filing for (C)12. Jane will work with Steve Rabe on any questions she might have. The Mayor has allocated space at the city building where the Executive Director can work. Jane has a list of office items she will need. Waynet requested space from both the city and main street, and we have accepted space at the city building. Jane has been working on putting her office together.
Discussed what the logo should be. Jane will be sending the logo to the board for approval to ? New sponsoring members: Ivy Tech State College Palladium Item The balance on the Treasurer’s report is $16,053.75. waynet@infocom.com is Waynet’s list server. TCI, EDC, Reid Hospital, and the Tourism Bureau will be talked with about becoming sponsoring members by David Fulton. Had more discussion on content of Waynet’s web page. Waynet will link to not for profit organizations for free upon their applying for membership and their asking for the membership. Ann Hanes will write a news release to send out to sponsoring members, news media, etc. Jane will arrange to get projection unit for next board meeting to be held at Morrisson-Reeves Library. Jane will work on the Community Calendar and brochure for Waynet. Tom and Jane will work with Infocom on taking down Infocom’s business pages and working on transition of Infocom’s customers to potential Waynet customers. The next meeting will be Wednesday, October 8, 1997 at Richmond Power & Light at 12:30.
