Board Meeting Minutes - November 16, 2017

Present:

  • Tim Love (Reid Hospital & Health Care Services)
  • Chris Mopps (Richmond Power and Light)
  • Richard Peterson (Porter Advertising, LLC)
  • Rob Tidrow, (Richmond Community Schools)
  • Jane Holman (Executive Director, WayNet.org, Ex-Officio)

Absent:

  • Pam Merchanthouse, President (Friends Fellowship Community)
  • Lynn Knight, (Earlham College)
  • Jenie Lahmann (Morrisson-Reeves Library

Call to Order:

President Aubrey Blue called the meeting to order at approximately 12:02 PM at Cope Environmental Center.

New Board Member

The Board welcomed Chris Mopps of Richmond Power and Light to his first board meeting. Chris is an information technology specialist and replaced Randy Baker as the Richmond Power and Light representative at the September 21, 2017 board meeting.

Old Business

Approval of Minutes

Rob Tidrow motioned for the approval of the minutes dated September 21, 2017 which was seconded by Richard Peterson and the motion was approved unanimously.

Recognition of Lynn Knight

Lynn Knight was awarded a gift card for securing a new member. She will be given the award when she returns.

New Business

Balance Sheet Review

The Balance Sheet was reviewed. It was reported that the past several months has been normal with only two pay periods per month and some subscription renewals. Richard Peterson moved to accept the Balance Sheet as submitted which was seconded by Rob Tidrow and approved unanimously.

2018 Projected Budget

The 2018 Projected Budget was presented. It was reported that the income was calculated using only current members, that the salary expense would remain the same, and the printer toner expense had been removed. Dakota Collins motioned to approve the 2018 Budget which was seconded by Tim Love and approved unanimously.

Director's Report

Jane Holman reviewed the Director's Report which included that there had been no change on membership.

Discussion continued regarding the redevelopment of the website and which features should remain on the site.

Adjournment:

There being no further business, Tim Love motioned for adjournment which was seconded by Richard Peterson and unanimously approved.
