Veteran's Memorial Park is a relatively new park, conveniently located in the center of the City of Richmond, featuring memorials for quiet reflection but also offering a large amount of green space for family picnics.  It can be reached via car from North 2nd Street (just west of the Wayne County Safety Building) or by foot via the suspension footbridge over the Whitewater River just south of the Weir Dam on Sim Hodgins Parkway.
