Issues & Projects for May / June / July / August

  • Added Gillis to Board page & Google Groups
  • Lots of news items in July and many, many events added to calendar.
  • Request from the Wayne County Tourism Bureau to use our photos. Their RFP notes "commercial" usage. Should we charge additional fee for use in Social Media and/or Billboards?
  • Sales call with Friends Fellowship. Successful! Thanks, Karen!
  • Returned to office at the City Building. Set up took a while, as the new computer hadn't ever been used here. Had to order new converter in order to use 2 monitors. Got Carbonite working again, albeit, slowly.
  • Enjoyed a week's vacation in June.
  • Bugs affected both our Trivia program and the Member's Text Rotation. Fixed after some research and tweaking.
  • Photography and Photo Processing.
  • Husband took photos of EAA flight.
  • Ill - took 2 days sick time while waiting on COVID test, which was negative.
  • Volunteered time to take photos at State Fair Band Day. Husband also contributed.
  • Followed up on State Tax letter, sent by mistake. Spent several hours chasing this down to get it corrected. Frustrating! Ultimately cleared.
  • Met with Karen Seal to answer incoming board member questions.
  • Project Time Report (Approximate!)
  • Updated Credit Card number across vendors who auto-bill.
  • Note: I have 64.5 hours of vacation time left that expires in mid-September. I can ask for a 3 month extension, which I will do, but will plan on using this up this fall.

    Did You Know?

The highest point in Indiana is located in Wayne County, northwest of Bethel. At 1,257 feet, it is known as “Hoosier Hill”, but that title is a bit ironic.
